- HEPA filters are not washable
- HEPA filters should not be used in your home’s standard HVAC unit without making professional modifications to it.
- Most HEPA filters have a series of filters, not just one single HEPA filter
The reason, HEPA filters are removing extremely fine particles from the air. In fact, they need to be tested to remove at least 99.97% of all particles as small as .3 microns. (Chart below for your reference)
